Three Athletes Shortlisted for Young Athlete of the Year Honour

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the this year's Young Sports Star of the Year award.
The trio have been honoured for their outstanding achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin rose to fame with a unprecedented innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The three contenders were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.
The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the annual sports awards show on Thursday, 18 December.
The show will be aired from 7 PM GMT.
Agyemang's Profile

Just three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She came off the bench to score key tying goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.
Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the best young player in Europe.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is an honour," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."
The Darts Prodigy

Littler's 2025 began in spectacular fashion as - at just 17 years old - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.
He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the very first time.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a proud moment for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
Perrin's Profile

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin finished second in the batting rankings and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm deeply humbled to be named a finalist for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it encourages more girls to get into cricket."
